Best Co-op Games Without Voice Chat

Games that work when players prefer text or simple in-game communication.

We evaluate recommendations by beginner friendliness, player count, session length, communication needs, platform support and purchase value. A popular game is not automatically the right game for every group.

How to choose

Start with the group rather than the genre. Decide whether you need local or online play, whether both players have the same platform, how much time you have and how comfortable everyone is with controls. For mixed-skill groups, prioritize games that let experienced players help without making the new player feel like a passenger.

Before you buy

• Check whether every player needs a copy.
• Confirm local, online and cross-play support for your platform.
• Check the current price, language support and refund policy.
• Read the game guide linked above for practical fit notes.
